Question by Brown Eyes: How to clean soot covered bricks inside a chimney breast?
Does anyone know how to clean off the soot from a very old chimney breast that I have just opened up? I have used hydrocholoric acid cleaner, but it's not got all the soot off. Should I just keep going with it? Hope someone can help? Many thanks.
I am talking about the area inside the chimney breast that is bricked, not the actual chimney itself. That's being done on Saturday. Thank you
